DG8 were brought in as part of East Midlands Trains’ Class 222 refurbishment programme to assess problems and produce feasible solutions for implementation.

After supplying East Midlands Trains with concepts for the improvement of the train manager’s area, buggy and luggage racks, and a new First/standard Class dividing screen, DG8 carried out structural analysis, produced drawings for manufacture and supported the installation of these items.
