Industrial Design
DG8 has an Industrial Design department capable of designing all aspects of a vehicle, ranging from external liveries to complete interior refurbishments.
We have worked with a range of clients to undertake high level ‘blue sky’ concepts, through to full interior refreshes with schedules of colours and finishes incorporating all aspects of the new interior.
Within the last few years, we have invested in our 3D visualisation capabilities and are able to produce photo-realistic 3D visualisations, helping our customers visualise their new designs.
Our designers work alongside engineers to ensure all designs are fully compliant to current standards, following guidelines set out in the current PRM-NTSN standards; this includes carrying out colour contrast assessments.

Product Design
Starting from concept sketches through to final manufacturing drawings, we are able to design bespoke or customise existing interior products, ranging from seating, tables, luggage racks, and luggage stacks to lighting modules and bike storage.
Graphic Design
Within our industrial design department, we also undertake graphic design including: vehicle liveries, interior and exterior signage, along with branding.
Textile Design
When an interior scheme is produced, all aspects are coherently designed, this includes the design of new textiles, including seating materials, carpets and curtains.
Interior Design
Our design capabilities allow us to produce a complete vehicle interior, including 3D visualisations, schedules of colours and finishes, and full colour contrast assessments, ensuring all designs meet current standards and regulations.

DG8’s Industrial design department is proficient in a wide range of software. DG8 own a fully licensed Adobe Creative Cloud package, which includes all of Adobe’s products.
We also have our own dedicated in house render farm; this facility allows us to create high-end visuals in realistic timescales, without limiting production.
