Multipulse – RETB

DG8 were requested to undertake the installation design of the next generation RETB system to a number of vehicles that operate on the West Highland and Far North Lines. DG8 carried out the following tasks and deliverables within this project:

Ergonomic and Human Factors Support – DG8 organised for the Ergonomic assessment and Human Factors installation criteria to be undertaken by a third party specialist. DG8 ensured that the criteria selected for the vehicle installation provided a realistic platform to undertake the installation design.

Initial Vehicle Surveying – DG8 undertook detailed vehicle surveys at depots located throughout the UK covering various fleets.

Concept Design and Survey Report – DG8 provided a Project Manager, Electrical Engineers and Mechanical Design Engineers to produce the concept designs and survey reports for the varying fleets.

Detailed Design – DG8 produced detailed designs for all of the various fleets of vehicles.

Approvals Package – Following the successful approval and acceptance of the detailed design a full approvals package was produced and provided to each ROSCO/TOC and FOC giving adequate information to complete their Engineering Change process.

Installation and Testing Support – DG8 provided an Engineer to support the installation and relevant system installation testing on the first fit of each vehicle type.
